Is Decision Lab free?
Yes. Decision Lab is free to download and use. All 11 calculators are available at no cost.
Does the app require an internet connection?
No. Decision Lab works fully offline. All calculations run locally on your device.
Is my data private?
Absolutely. No data leaves your device. There is no account, no cloud sync, and no tracking. Your experiments are stored only on your iPhone.
How do I save an experiment?
After running a calculation, tap "Save Experiment" on the result screen. You can add a custom title and notes. Find all saved experiments in the Experiments tab.
Can I compare two options?
Yes. Rent vs Buy, EV vs Gas, and Car Total Cost of Ownership calculators support side-by-side comparison with charts over time.
What are Assumptions?
Assumptions are common financial values (like investment return rate or inflation) that apply across calculators. Set them once in the Assumptions tab, and every new experiment uses your personal baseline.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
